Seller's Description:

Amazing Spider-Man #20 1965 from Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Featuring the first appearance of The Scorpion.

Grade: VG

Nice complete issue, bright color and good gloss, some corner blunting, light edge wear, some spine stress, light surface wear, supple off-white to cream pages, all pages intact and attached. A few (4) pages have a 1" vertical tear from the bottom up that don't and won't affect the grade. They are very close to the gutter and don't affect the content/illustration work in any way. I wrote PGX (the comic grading company) and they said "The tears probably wouldn't affect the grade of the book unless it was a higher grade book, 8.5 or higher, especially if the tears are production related."

Invincible Iron Man #1 ORIGINAL 1968 SILVER AGE Marvel Comic Book.

Seller's Descrption:
The winner of this auction will receive the original premiere issue of Iron Man #1, published in May 1968. Wow! Forty-years-old this month! Besides the awesome main story, it also includes the Stan Lee featurette: "The Origin of Iron Man."

Condition: While not a professional grader, I use the Overstreet grading system and would rate this copy a solid VG+. The front cover has some creasing (see photo), and there is a very tiny piece missing from the bottom left corner. The front and back have lost some brightness. Pages are tanning, but are complete and intact. The book is flat, with sold rust-free staples, and a tight spine.

As a bonus, the winner of this auction will also receive a FN copy of Iron Man #16!
Comics are bagged/boarded, and will be packaged with care.

And while Most of us will not be able to afford this rare gem, this auction for the very first appearance of Ironman should be one to watch. This comic book has been Newly listed and already has 4 bids with a top bid of $660.00. Of course, it's going to go MUCH HIGHER. Nevertheless, it should be fun to watch, even if I can't afford to buy it.
