At the time of this post, there were 4 days and 22 hours left with, 10 bids, and 24 Watching this auction. The current High Bid was $355.00 which, is why I am blogging about this auction as that is Far Too Cheap a price for this HUGE Collection of Comic Books to sell for.

Of course, this Comic Book Collection may sell for Far More than $355. Which, is why I am tracking (watching) it, and will update this post as this auction progresses. I will also post the results here so Stay Tuned and, of course, Bookmark this post.

In my comics you will get are mostly superhero(marvel 75%, DC20%), although there are many current titles and a great run of Mighty THOR vol 1. If your a collector this would be excellect addition for you, just pick out the issues you want and sell the rest. I have 35-40 long boxes of comics taking up too much space in my home, I would put the value of them if sold individually at about $25,000.00 Here is a few: Superman,BATMAN, Hulk, WOLVERINE, uncanny X_MEN, Spiderman, Cat woman, SheHulk, The Avengers, New Avengers, Mighty Thor, etc etc.... The comics are not just what is pictured, you get everything including all my Ultimate titles, NEW AVENGERS any and every comic will go with no RESERVE. The Daredevil #1, **APPEARS** to be, in Fine to Near Mint condition (at least, it looks pretty good in the pictures the seller posted on craigslist). I found this Star Wars Jedi Life-Sized Yoda Statue for sale while shopping craigslist. Here is what the seller has to say.


Sellers Description:
This is a life-size statue of Yoda that Lucas Films made for a tie-in promotion with Pepsi when Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace came out. I received it as a thank you for coordinating a pre-screening of the movie here on Long Island.

The base is plastic, round and approx 22 inches high high. Yoda features his familiar Jedi Master robe, his walking stick and glassy, realistic eyes and he stands approx. 34 inches high.

I was told that only a limited number were made (500). A great addition for a true fan and collector.

I saw the same one on Craigslist selling for $750 + $250 shipping.

I am asking $400.

The buyer must pick Yoda up. Cash only.

Marvel SELLS OUT!!! to Walt Disney

The Comic Book Listings Blog:

In an absolutely Stunning move, Marvel Entertainment Inc. (MVL) has SOLD OUT to Mickey Mouse... er, I mean, to the Walt Disney Co. (DIS), for a mere $4 billion in cash and stock.

Under the deal, which was announced Monday and is expected to close by the end of the year, Disney will acquire the rights to 5,000 Marvel characters.

I can see it now...
"Sleeping Beauty Meets Spiderman"!

"The Seven Dwarfs vs The Fantastic Four",

"The Incredible hulk Seeks the Wizard of OZ".

Holy Mixed Marriages Batman! huuu?


Here's something for ya!
Back on June 2, 2008. I wrote a news article about Marvel Entertainment being Added to the S&P Mid-Cap 400 Index. At that time, Marvel Entertainment shares were selling for $34.89 in after hours trading.

Now Dig This!
Marvel shareholders will receive $30 per share in cash, plus 0.745 Disney shares for every Marvel share they own. That values each Marvel share at $50 based on Friday's closing stock prices.

Marvel shares shot up $9.77, or 25 percent, to $48.42 in afternoon trading Monday. Disney shares fell 79 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $26.05.


Bottom Line?
What do You think of this mixed marriage?
(Especially after the Phenomenal Iron Man Movie produced by Marvel Entertainment.)
