Typically i do not post auctions for comic books with "Reserve Pricing". However this CGC 7.5 copy of the famed "Journey into Mystery #83" is so much like the one I already own, that I wanted to track it.
"WHOSOEVER BIDS ON THIS BOOK, IF THEY BE WORTHY, SHALL POSSESS THE 1ST BOOK OF THOR!" OK...MOVING ON...
THAT BEING SAID, UP FOR BID IS POSSIBLY THE HOTTEST COMIC* OF 2010; JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY#83 FEATURING THE 1ST APP OF THE MIGHTY THOR, WHO IN 2011, WILL STAR IN HIS OWN MAJOR MOTION PICTURE. THIS COPY IS GRADED BY CGC AT 7.5 (VERY FINE-) WITH BONE WHITE PAGES!! ACCORDING TO CGC, THERE ARE ONLY 538 UNIVERSAL COPIES THAT HAVE BEEN GRADED, OF THOSE, ONLY 41 ARE GRADED HIGHER THAN THIS COPY, AND I'M BETTING MOST OF THEM DON'T HAVE WHITE PAGES...
THE BOOK HAS GREAT EYE APPEAL, WITH A BRIGHT COVER, NO MARVEL CHIPPING, AND A CGC CASE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE INTERESTING THING ABOUT THIS BOOK IS THAT IT WAS PUBLISHED THE SAME TIME AS AMAZING FANTASY #15 (AUG 1962), BUT THERE ARE LESS JOURNEY'S (538) SUBMITTED TO CGC COMPARED TO AF (902) .
