The Comic Book Listings Blog: I Found this Beautiful Marvel Silver Age Comic "The Avengers No.1" at auction on ebay and just Had to blog it.
Seller says it has White Pages, and if the pic is of the actual comic, it has one of the Brightest covers I have ever seen.

This listing is for an Avengers #1 in VFN- to VFN condition with white pages and the brightest cover colors I've ever seen on this issue due to incredibly preserved paper quality.
The comic is glossy, clean, complete, and has no tape, repairs, or restoration of any kind.

A specific numerical CGC grade cannot be guaranteed because CGC themselves do not guarantee grades, and there are no published CGC grading guidelines.
This is made evident by the thousands upon thousands of CGC graded comics that have graded differently when resubmitted a second time, one extreme case being a comic that once CGC Universal graded 4.0 eventually being given a 9.0 Universal grade by CGC, the same company that graded it 4.0 in the past!
What exactly does CGC guarantee?
I quote from the CGC label itself: "CGC guarantees this comic book to be genuine and be inspected by a minimum of three graders. The assigned grade represents our opinion, as grading is subjective."
As my regular buyers well know, on a whole, my comics do very well at CGC. Some grade slightly higher than the grades I list them at, an equal number grade slightly lower, and the majority grade the same, most notably of late an AS #129 that I listed at NM/MT that was graded 9.8 by CGC, an AS #9 I listed as NM/NM+ (meaning a high end 9.4, but not quite a solid 9.6) that was CGC graded 9.4, an AS #37 that I Iisted as 9.2, I was given a negative on by the buyer for "overgrading", yet 2 months later was graded CGC 9.4 for the second chance buyer, and many, many others.
***Also, recently a restored raw AF 15 auctioned at $16,950 that graded CGC 9.4 (sl) for the buyer!***
In other words, there is an averaging out when it comes to the subjective art of grading, even among the best.

This is Auction is for a beautiful copy of Avengers # 5 from May 1964 in CGC 9.2 with off white/white pages...the book is from the White Mountain collection. This is the 3RD highest grade & only 9 books have graded higher.... a CGC 9.2 copy with Off-white pages just sold on Comiclink for over $3800.... with the Avengers movie due soon this book will only appreciate in value & is being offered with NO Reserve!!!...the back cover is off white in color.
The case has a crack on the back of 3 inches near top of the case (see the pic)...it is superficial & does not affect the book nor integrity of the case.All my auctions will carry Hi resolution pictures so you know what you are getting ...if there are any issues with any item I will note it. A Lot of three, Silver Age Marvel Avengers comic books issues #2, #10, #13 which "look" to be in Very good condition. Seller did not state his/her reason for sale and note, that the comic book bags do not fit. Nevertheless, a Marvel Avengers #2 alone and in Fair condition is worth the $100 bucks this seller is offering All Three Marvel Avenger Comic Books for. So you had better hurry, as this listing had already been posted on craigslist for 7 days before I found it.

Update: Not sure why these Marvel Avengers have not yet sold but, I just checked and in deed they have not! Have not talked with the seller to see what kind of inquiries they may have had, but, I figure, after being listed on craigslist for over a month now, the seller "should be" about ready to deal. At any rate, they would make a great addition to someone's collection.
